1984 Completed 3 year diploma course in cake design and sugarcraft

1984-86 Created wedding cakes for private clients

1986-90 Worked for Art for Eating, renowned at the time for pushing the boundaries of innovative cake making. Clients included Sainsbury’s, Yellow Pages and The Ritz.

Branched out on my own, setting up The Cake Studio. My clients include couples holding small intimate weddings, to large scale society and celebrity parties. I create cakes for many corporate events, with clients including the Evening Standard and Virgin Clubs. I am also a recommended cake maker/designer for Virgin Bride.

I pride myself in taking the approach that’s right for your needs: for corporate clients, real attention to detail and professionalism to represent your organisation in a way that supports your logo and brand; for private clients, creativity and a personal approach to create a cake that’s unique to you and a talking point at your celebration.

Whether you know exactly what you want or have plenty of ideas, want something humorous, clever, traditional, contemporary or bizarre, I will be happy to discuss your ideas with you, listen to your requirements and together we will create a design you’ll love.

And virtually anything is possible! As my portfolio shows, I have made a huge range of very different cakes and love nothing better than a challenge. After all, I would never have suggested a camel wedding cake until the bride mentioned she had met her husband-to-be whilst trekking through Tunisia!
